The Princess and the Peas is about the transformation from meat eater to plant eater.  It is about the picky eater who is unsatisfied with food, yet afraid to experiment.  It is about taking food ideas that were once disgusting and making them the staples of a new diet and lifestyle.  It is about eating all the gross vegetables that children throw off their plates.

BUT – it is NOT about being a health nut.  It is about a slow, steady journey to becoming a…healthier, nutty person.  Eating whole grains while still eating french fries at a restaurant.  No counting calories, no limiting dairy.  It is about real people who are really busy, trying to be healthier for their own sake and for the sake of the environment.  It is about people who want to be healthy in moderation.
